Hang gliding Tsitsikamma: A first in Africa. Enjoy the unequalled beauty of the indigenous forest high up on ten treetop platforms. Gently glide along in harness along steel cables 30 meters above the forest floor. Birdlife is abundant (including KnysnaLoeries and the elusive Narina Trojan), and your guides will explain the ecology of the lush primeval forest. Safety is paramount, and the system has been built to the highest civil engineering standards. Guides are fully-trained professionals.
Penguin and township tour Cape St. Francis: Depart from Cape St Francis Resort and head down to the penguin rehabilitation centre. From there you travel to Talhado Children’s Home. Then onto Nomvulo’s Knitters – a feel good story, previously unemployed persons who now knit the most beautiful garments. A light lunch at Port St Francis is for guests own account.
Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary Plettenberg Bay: Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary in South Africa is the World’s first free-roaming, multi-species primate sanctuary. More than 450 primate’s free-roam the Monkeyland’s forest. Around 450 apes, monkeys and lemurs live at Monkeyland, including gibbons, capuchin monkeys, squirrel monkeys, spider monkeys, miniature monkeys, vervets, saki monkeys, howler monkeys, two species of langurs and three species of lemur.
