Cape Town is the capital of the Western Cape Province. It is a city with two faces, European and African, a blend of first and third world. Despite these vast differences Cape Town is a relaxed and safe city. It has a number of very interesting museums including the South African National Museum, with planetarium, the Bo-Kaap Museum and the National Gallery. In the city centre is the Castle of Good Hope. Table Mountain is situated on the southern side of Cape Town and is famous for its table shape. The mountain provides stunning views over the entire city and is easily accessible via the rotating cable car.
Abbey Manor is a luxury guesthouse set high on the foothills of Table Mountain, overlooking the splendour of Cape Town. Centrally located, Abbey Manor offers sumptuous rooms – each individually decorated – that offer dramatic views of the city, ocean, or majestic mountains, and cater to the highest level of comfort. Abbey Manor is an historical building, now 100 years old, which has been lovingly restored to its former glory, while adding the best that modern technology and comfort can offer. It is probably the only property in the City Bowl that has a true 360-degree view: the entire mountain range, the harbour, and the distant Hottentots Hollan mountains, which are covered in snow in winter.
